The 2025 generation pairs apochromatic lenses with Leica's High Lux Pro system for neutral colour, minimal fringing and high contrast, under HDC and AquaDura coatings. The 82 adds dual focus. Buy the body alone, or a kit with the Vario 25–50x WW ASPH eyepiece.

Best for Shorebirds, raptors and digiscoping, where colour fringing shows.

Sport optics bought new from Leica Store San Francisco carry Leica's US and Canada warranty programme. Terms are set by Leica Camera Inc. See Leica's warranty conditions for details, and for how electronic devices such as the Geovid, Rangemaster and Calonox are covered.

  • 10-Year Passport Protection. Leica repairs or replaces a sport optics product damaged or defective within ten years, no matter how it happened, at no charge. The plan transfers with the product.
  • 30-year optics warranty. Leica's manufacturer's warranty on the optical system runs for thirty years.
  • Authorized dealer only. The North American programme covers products first bought from an authorized Leica dealer or Leica Store, which Leica Store San Francisco is.
