This Leica M5 (Black) 2-lug 35mm film rangefinder camera body, #1297500, is in heavily used condition showing significant signs of heavy handling, with paint loss, edge wear, and marks throughout. I rate it cosmetically a (7). The camera is in proper working order; film advances properly, the viewfinder is clear, the shutter is accurate at all speeds, the meter and self-timer function, the rangefinder is bright & accurate, and the battery compartment is corrosion-free. There is a faint dent in the hot shoe and a small dent on the right side of the top plate, and the vulcanite covering on the top lug is missing. The body itself has had a new olive cordura cover applied. The meter was serviced by DAG in 2026. This camera includes a vintage plastic Leica body cap and a red rubber shutter release. It uses one (1) PX625A battery (not included). This camera is ready for use! Please refer to the photos for details.
