Brand Leica System Leica Compacts

The Leica D-Lux 8 “100 Years of Leica” celebrates a century of Leica photography with a design that nods to the 1925 Leica I. It's technically identical to the standard D-Lux 8 — a 4/3" CMOS sensor, the fast DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 ASPH. zoom (24-75mm equivalent), a new OLED viewfinder, and DNG raw capture — dressed in a special black finish.

Exclusive leatherette, nickel-colored accents on the controls, lens, and cap, a “100” marking on the hot-shoe cover, and the omission of the red Leica logo give it a clean, collectible look. It's a pocketable everyday camera with real Leica image quality, and a fitting way to mark the anniversary. Stop by and see it in person.

A Tribute to 100 Years of Leica

This special edition honors a century of Leica photography and pays homage to the 1925 Leica I. It is technically identical to the series D-Lux 8, so you get anniversary styling with no change to performance.

Distinctive Anniversary Design

The camera features a black finish with exclusive leatherette and nickel-colored accents on the control elements, lens, and lens cap. A “100” marking sits on the hot-shoe cover, the shutter release wears elaborate edging, and the red Leica logo is omitted for a clean, line-driven look.

Fast Zoom, Big Sensor

A 4/3" CMOS sensor pairs with the bright Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 ASPH. lens (24-75mm equivalent) for excellent image quality, low-light ability, and pleasing background separation in a truly pocketable body.

Modern Features, Classic Feel

The D-Lux 8 is the first D-Lux with an OLED viewfinder, DNG raw output, UHS-II SD support, and RAW/video transfer via the Leica FOTOS app — plus 4K video and an included on-camera flash.
