One Lens for Most of the Day

Covering 24-90 mm, this zoom moves from landscapes and interiors at the wide end to portraits and detail work at 90 mm, all at a bright f/2.8-4 maximum aperture. It's the versatile standard zoom that lets you leave the bag at home.

Optics Built to Leica Standards

An 18-element, 15-group design employs four aspherical elements (five aspherical surfaces) and eleven anomalous-partial-dispersion elements to correct chromatic aberration and preserve edge-to-edge detail, delivering the crisp, contrast-rich rendering the SL-System is known for.

Stabilized, Fast, and Quiet

Built-in Optical Image Stabilization adds up to 3.5 stops (CIPA) of handheld reach. Internal focusing drives a single light element with a stepper motor and linear guide, so autofocus is fast, quiet, and free of lens extension.

Sealed for the Field

The all-metal housing is sealed against dust and spray water, and a Leica AquaDura coating protects the outer glass from dirt and scratches. An E82 filter thread and a robust build make it a dependable everyday tool.
