Brand Leica System Leica M

The Leica APO-Summicron-M 90mm f/2 ASPH pairs apochromatic color correction with an aspherical surface to deliver the kind of edge-to-edge sharpness and freedom from color fringing that defines Leica's finest telephotos. Its 90mm focal length and fast f/2 aperture give you compressed perspective and beautifully smooth subject separation, making it a natural choice for portraits, reportage, and theater work.

Built around a precision brass barrel with an integrated retractable hood, it stays remarkably compact at roughly 500g and balances beautifully on any M body. It's a lens we recommend to photographers who want reference-grade rendering that will serve them for decades, and our team is happy to help you pair it with the right M body.

Apochromatic Precision

Apochromatic correction combined with an aspherical surface virtually eliminates chromatic aberration and edge discoloration, preserving tonal fidelity and delivering exceptional sharpness even wide open at f/2.

Portrait-Defining Rendering

The 90mm focal length compresses perspective while the f/2 aperture produces striking subject separation and smooth, uniform bokeh, making this an ideal lens for portraiture, theater, and photojournalism.

Compact, Enduring Build

A precision-engineered brass body with an integrated, retractable and lockable metal hood keeps the lens compact at roughly 500g, while the 6-bit coded Leica M bayonet ensures reliable communication with your camera.
