The Most Compact M Lens

This is the most compact lens in the entire Leica M-Lens portfolio. An aspherical element enables its remarkably small construction and a weight of only 175 g, so it all but disappears on the camera.

Optimized for Digital

The optical design is optimized for digital photography, with significantly reduced image field curvature compared with the previous model, and it stays practically distortion-free from infinity to its 0.7 m close focus.

Simple, Precise Optics

An 8-element, 6-group design with one aspherical surface delivers clean, well-corrected images across a 75-degree diagonal field, with a preset click-stop diaphragm and 10 aperture blades down to f/22.

Classic M Build

A rectangular full-metal screw-on hood can be swapped for a screw-in protector ring when not in use, and the lens carries an E39 filter thread on a 6-bit-coded Leica M bayonet. Made in Germany.
