Brand Leica System Leica M

The Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH Safari edition dresses Leica's reference fast fifty in a distinctive matte olive-green anodized finish. Optically it is the standard Summilux: 8 elements in 5 groups with an aspherical surface, delivering high contrast and resolution wide open and the smooth, natural rendering the lens is celebrated for.

With an 11-blade diaphragm for round bokeh, an integrated pull-out hood, and close focus to 0.45 m, the Safari is a striking companion to a Safari-finish M body or a standout on its own. Let our team help you complete the kit.

The Reference Standard 50mm

The Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH is the benchmark fast standard for the M system, with an 8-element, 5-group design and an aspherical surface that delivers outstanding contrast and corner-to-corner resolution, even at f/1.4.

Beautifully Rounded Bokeh

An 11-blade click-stop diaphragm keeps the aperture round as you stop down for smooth, natural background rendering, with half-stop lock settings for precise control.

Focus Closer Than Ever

A double-cam gear unit extends close focusing to 0.45 m. The rangefinder couples to 0.7 m, and the 0.7-0.45 m range can be composed via Live View, the Visoflex, or the Leica FOTOS app.

Distinctive Safari Finish

The Safari edition's olive-green anodized finish is one of Leica's most recognizable looks, pairing naturally with Safari M bodies. Built in Germany to the same optical standard as every Summilux.
