Brand Leica System Leica M

The Leica APO-Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH. sets a new benchmark for the M-System. Apochromatic correction and four aspherical surfaces across ten elements deliver edge-to-edge sharpness with virtually no chromatic aberration, even wide open, in backlight, or along high-contrast edges. A floating element keeps that performance consistent to its remarkable 0.3 m close-focus distance, the shortest of any Leica M lens.

For you, that means a compact 35mm that draws with clarity and a gentle, well-defined bokeh in equal measure. The 300-degree focus throw and 11-blade diaphragm give you precise manual control, and 6-bit coding keeps your digital M metadata accurate. It's a reference-grade reportage and everyday lens our team is glad to put in your hands.

Apochromatic Reference Sharpness

Apochromatic correction virtually eliminates chromatic aberration, so fine detail stays crisp and color-true even at f/2, in backlight, or along demanding high-contrast edges. The result is a 35mm that resolves cleanly on today's highest-resolution M sensors.

Closest Focus of Any M Lens

At just 0.3 m, this Summicron focuses closer than any other Leica M lens, opening up true close-up framing. A floating element maintains that reference image quality across the entire focusing range.

Built for Precise Manual Control

A generous 300-degree focus throw makes critical focus effortless, while the 11-blade click-stop diaphragm with half-stop settings gives you fine command of depth of field and bokeh shape.

Compact, Discreet, Made in Germany

Crafted in Wetzlar to exacting standards, the lens stays light at roughly 320 g with a slim E39 filter thread and 6-bit coding for accurate digital-M lens recognition.
