Brand Leica System Leica M Grade New

The Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH. is the definitive fast 35mm for the M system, pairing a classic reportage field of view with a bright f/1.4 aperture for confident low-light work and beautifully controlled subject separation. Its current-generation optical design adds a floating element and eleven aperture blades, so you get high-contrast, high-resolution rendering wide open and noticeably rounder, smoother bokeh.

Focusing now reaches an impressively close 0.4 m — rangefinder-coupled to 0.7 m, then extended via Live View, Visoflex, or the Leica FOTOS app — and an integrated, extendable hood keeps it ready to shoot. In this black anodized finish it's a lens our team recommends as a do-everything companion for any M body. Come handle one with us and see the difference.

Fast, Classic 35mm Rendering

A bright f/1.4 maximum aperture and the versatile 62.5° diagonal angle of view make this the quintessential M reportage lens — equally at home for street, travel, environmental portraits, and landscapes. Wide open it delivers the high-contrast, high-resolution drawing Leica is known for, with a natural transition into a soft, defocused background.

Eleven Blades, Smoother Bokeh

The current design uses an eleven-blade diaphragm, up from nine, for a rounder aperture opening and visibly creamier, more refined bokeh. Combined with a floating element that maintains performance across the focus range, it renders out-of-focus areas with the smoothness Leica shooters prize.

Close Focus to 0.4 m

Minimum focusing distance drops to 0.4 m for tighter framing and shallow-depth close-ups. The lens focuses via the rangefinder to 0.7 m, then extends into the 0.7–0.4 m range through Live View, the Visoflex, or the Leica FOTOS app — a meaningful jump in creative flexibility over earlier versions.

Compact, Built in Germany

At roughly 46 mm long and about 338 g, it stays true to the compact M ethos, with an integrated, extendable round hood that's always at hand. The Leica M bayonet with 6-bit encoding ensures automatic lens recognition and correct EXIF data. Made in Germany.
