The Leica Trinovid 10x25 BCA is a compact roof-prism binocular that folds down small enough for a jacket pocket without giving up the view. Phase-corrected BAK4 prisms, the HighLux system, and Leica's HDC multi-coating keep the image color-neutral and high in contrast, and an AquaDura coating on the outer surfaces means rain and fingerprints wipe off clean.

A dual-hinge bridge tucks both barrels under the center, so the whole thing packs to 4.3 by 3.6 inches at 9 ounces in an armored aluminum chassis. Worth knowing going in: 10x through a 25 mm objective gives a 2.5 mm exit pupil, which is plenty for daylight and early dusk but not a low-light glass, so if you spend most of your time out at first and last light, a bigger objective will serve you better. Folds Into A Pocket

A dual-hinge bridge lets both barrels swing in and tuck under the center, which is how a 10x binocular ends up at 4.3 x 3.6 x 1.5 inches and 9 ounces. The chassis is aluminum alloy under a slip-resistant rubber armor, with raised longitudinal ribs on the outer reinforcements for grip. Construction is water-resistant, not submersible.

The Coatings

P40 phase correction on the BAK4 roof prisms keeps contrast and resolution up, the HighLux system maximizes light throughput, and Leica's High Durability Coating (HDC) is both anti-reflective and abrasion resistant. AquaDura on the outer surfaces sheds water and oils so fingerprints wipe off without smearing.

Fit And Focus

Interpupillary adjustment runs from 32 to 74 mm, unusually wide at the narrow end, which is why these work for kids and adults with close-set eyes. Eye relief is 14.6 mm with twist-up rubber eyecups, right-eye diopter correction is plus or minus 3.5, and the low-profile center wheel focuses down to about 5 m.
