A stunningly looking and solidly built camera!

My new Leica is very enjoyable to hold and i'm very pleased with the image quality! i'm still figuring out the best settings for me to use. I'm glad it's a rather reduced menu. Some other cameras are way too complex. I don't want to have to think about settings when I take pictures. I see something worth photographing and I want to pick the camera and just go for the picture. I can do this with the D-Lux 8. Thank you and always keep focused on image quality.

Very Nice Compact Camera

The image quality is very good. The menu system is quite similar to the Q3 camera and that is a very good thing. I wish it had phase & contrast AF and that the power zoom was faster. Also, how about enabling the USB-C port to support an external mic (Leica added this feature in a later Q3 firmware version). It would make the D Lux 8 a better video camera. I need more time to try out all the features but so far so good.
