I rate it cosmetically a (7+). The camera just had a full overhaul from DAG, so the shutter is accurate, the film advance is smooth, and the finder is clean, clear, bright, and accurate. This camera was built on November 22, 1960 and belongs to a batch of 250 units. It has taken on a nice dark patina, though it appears a former owner began to remove more of the black paint with a rotary tool, likely with the thought of refinishing it; thankfully the work was never completed and the resulting dark patina is quite attractive. This particular camera came to us in an estate with several other Leica models, mostly with military provenance. Of additional interest, it has an early base plate, which suggests a former owner had another earlier camera and the bases became switched at some point. It is for Leica M mount. This camera includes a body cap. This camera is ready for use!
